AEW Champion Jon Moxley Successfully defend their title against Mr. Bordee Lee at last Saturday Night AEW Double Or Nothing PPV.
After AEW Double Or Nothing, the AEW’s president and CEO Tony Khan revealed the place of next World Title match. According to Tony Khan, the next championship match will take place at Fyter Fest.
At Fyter Fest, Jon Moxley will defend his title against new number one contender Brian Cage, with no date currently announced but more details to be revealed on the next AEW’s Dynamite episode on coming Wednesday.
Jon Moxley retained the title over the Dark order leader Mr. Brodie Lee during Double Or Nothing Pay Per View last night, Moxley successfully defends the second time after he defeated Chris Jericho at Revolution in February 2020.
Brian Cage debuted as the mystery entrant in the Casino Ladder Match on Double or Nothing PPV, pulling down the chip and winning the title shot. He was debuted in company with Taz as his manager which looks like it’ll be another manager-wrestler relationship.
President Tony Khan also revealed that Fyter Fest was originally set to be held in London, England in 2020, but of course, that can no longer happen due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
No other matches have currently been confirmed for Fyter Fest PPV for right now, Tony Khan said that more details regarding when and where Fyter Fest PPV would take place would be announced on this week’s AEW Dynamite episode.
Alongside this Fyter fest announcement, this week’s Dynamite show will also feature a Battle Royale to determine the first challenger for Cody Rhodes’ new TNT Championship.
